I view my whole life through a viewfinder. The illustrious feelings I get while holding my camera drives me to pick it up again and again. When I was younger, I always tinkered around with my dads film cameras, not really knowing what I was doing. I woke him up on the weekends to go to the lab and develop these meaningless pictures that would soon lead me to believe I had something in me. I think having an open mind towards any situation or image is the key with photography. No matter how you look at it, it should take you off your feet in the most simple way. Whether it be the Appalachian mountains of Maine, or a stunning portrait of a loved one, the purpose is all the same: To convey a message.
